At what age did you realise that RE3 > RE2?
>>12060627never
>>12060627>Why you playing as a girl son? You gay or something?
>>12060627I have no idea how I feel about 2 and 3. Nemesis is a fun gimmick that keeps the game exciting, but it's level design and pacing is pretty irritating. 2 doesn't really have a gimmick and I think 3 handles hordes of zombies better than it as well. I think I really only like RE1.
>>12060627Never played either game
>>12060627i didn't? RE2, RE3 and the outbreak games are ultimately what i think of when i think "classic" resident evil. surviving in a zombie infested city trying to escape before the army says "fuck it" and bunker busters the fuck out of the city.likewise "modern" resident evil to me is RE4, RE5 & RE8. shooting your way out of third world shitholes fighting terrorists/monsters/etc., punching boulders and rescuing the president's daughter along the way.

>>12060627I don't like being nagged by Nemesis, it's a hassle. I like systematically dealing with a zone and knowing it's safe if I need to backtrack.
The level design of 2 is much more dense and compact compared to 3. Backtracking in 3 is a chore because you have to run from one end of the city to the other.
>>12060736CV suffers from the same thing. I think 0 might be a little better with the Training Facility at least, but I'll be honest, that game is so bland I can't really remember.
>>12060736shit always happening when backtracking the same place in re3, in re2 it's the same shitty decrepit mansion cantrip with broken windows4 keys, 4 plugs, just to get to 1 doorthe lab/tram/marshalling yard is the good part & it ends in 15mins
I turned off RE2 a minute in when the literal opening is a combat encounter you have to escape from with the worst controls ever conceived by man. Kamiya is hack.

The moment I first heard the ambient sounds of RE3's ruined city
3 has a better difficulty balance by default imo. the regular hard campaign available from the start is a pretty good challenge for my standards(you reasonably need to be on your game to avoid dying at certain points. re2 on normal is just a bit too soft and you have to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to play a version with decent difficulty.
>>12060691>likewise "modern" resident evil to me is RE4, RE5 & RE8.i unironically prefer RE6 to RE5,i really dislike RE5 for some reason.
>>12060627The only thing that 3 has over 2 is difficulty.
