What are some examples of games for which there is evidence they existed but no one can track a copy of, anywhere? Excludes games for which there's evidence they are owned by hoarders or are in some kind of archive (i.e.: the Game Preservation Society.)

What will happen to games held on by hoarders who refuse to make a public archive of it once they die?

Thrown in a landfill by their next of kin.

ive posted this here a million times but i played a hack of the old 90s game "bunny killer" called "nazi killer" on my friend's dad's old black and white second-hand macintosh. im 100% positive that was the name but there is no trace of this game on the internet at all. i can only assume it was some homebrew thing that is now lost.

It's possible, but certainly far less possible than 15 years ago. Odds are greater that they wind up on ebay or sent to a grading service and sold on some "premium" auction site like Heritage Auctions.
