Should I mod my PS2 that has a network adapter or fix my fatso PS3 that needs a new GPU?

One where the drive used to be perfect and then just completely died, and one that has had issues for far longer but still mostly works for now. I was thinking of chipping the second one to play burnt ps1 discs, and using the 1st one with fmcboot card and sd2pxio or whatever the fuck it's called. Also have a fat ps3 that ylods and it's probably not worth saving. But for all I know it could just be a capacitor issue. My Wii U emulates PS1 fine enough though. Tell me what I should do.

And unless the technician frankensteined a later model GPU (which is more complex than cannibalizing another fat model and thus there are even fewer people offering the service for a higher cost), it's still prone to future failure.
>>12062482If you have physical games then mod your ps2. It's easier and the ps2 can display lower resolutions (240p) for a slightly better picture. If you're digital then the ps3 might be a better option.
