Don't crosses hurt demons and the undead in Castlevania lore?
>>
>>12064769
I think that's just supposed to be a vase or jug with a D-pad on it
>>
>>12064775
they are, in fact, just reusing the asset of the puzle where those angel d-pads show you what inputs to press to unlock a prize.
>>
>>12064769
Only the weaponized ones your dude summons and throws since there are normal crosses all over the place in the castles.

I know, but they looked so comfortable together.
I love DFC and big perfect titties, I want to be sandwiched between both at the same time.

Aria of Sorrow thread? Why are there so many gargoyles in the final areas. Gargoyles are so pitifully weak and feel so out of place.
>>
>>12064742
Fun fact, the Inner Quarters are called the 'Harem' in the debug menu. That explains all the female enemies there.

I'm playing again because I missed the legion soul

Last time I posted this I got a b& for posting porn on blue boards but that was before the take down
>>
it's a relatively short game so it was fast to get Claimh Solais and overpwered again
>>
i thought it was weird claimh solais is fairly easy to obtain and there's a lot of weapons further out of the way that aren't as good at least i don't think they are
>>
I don't mind I still think its fun being overpowered and filling out the enemy data collecting each soul
>>
I like in Castlevania games when the enemies drop rare food items like hamburgers and pudding and milk etc...
>>
>>12065110
Yeah, some of the enemies feel like they are just there to be annoying and maybe chip away at your health between bosses
One thing I noticed is enemies don't really knock you back when you get hit though
>>
i actually like the gargoyles because they are so weak and easy to hit
>>
>>12064769
Not really. The Castle is replete with crosses as decorations. The subweapon's damage is just from blunt force trauma.

farming Muramasa from Lubicants to sell to hammer for enough gold to buy soul eater ring

The hidden room with the Claimn Solais is pretty easy to find, as though it's supposed to be the real reward and not Joyeuse.
It's just entering the forbidden area that's supposed to be the tough part, since there's a waterfall entry puzzle to solve.
Although that room has hints with what you should try.

i was lucky enough to get curly's soul while progressing normally so i got this armor easily which buffed me up a lot
those two items and you're golden pretty much
it's neat how the game while short has a lot of areas to explore and things to find
>>
i liked the bosses but it didn't feel like there were as many as i recall

It'd be cool, but I get why it isn't a thing for a game like this.

finished this for the first time a couple months ago, really enjoyed it even it was largely a retread of sotn. the soul system is fun and very creative, even though it also suffers the same problem as sotn's weapons where 95% of them are useless. also why was the final boss so easy? killed it in one try. death was way harder for me (but then again i didn't have the best everything at the end).

are the other 2 gba games worth playing? i looked at playthroughs on youtube and they largely seem like inferior versions of aria.

I think they're worth playing, but it's pretty subjective, there's people who will only like one of the GBAvanias but then hate the others, or hate a specific one but like the others.

Harmony Of Dissonance feels a lot closer to SoTN in various ways, it barely hides what it tries to be, but I think it does a lot of cool things anyway. Has two castles.
Has very saturated colors with strong contrast for the sake of better visibility on the original GBA screen, and together with somewhat rough instrument samples for its music, it takes on a rather abrasive feel overall, which some don't like, but I dig it, personally.

Circle Of The Moon feels like it's trying to not be as much as SoTN, for better and for worse. Got your whip, subweapons, and then the card setups which can be used for various spells (flame whip, special subweapon attacks, summons, powerups, etc), but the game is unfortunately kind of stingy with giving you the cards, so without a guide there's a high chance you'll miss half or more of them.
Dracula is tough as a motherfucker without the right cards, healing items are rare unless playing on the unlockable Thief Mode (so you'll depend on saverooms for healing), and the castle is kind of oversized.
I like how just colossal the castle is, the sense of scale is epic in the proper sense, but at the same time a lot of this space is also very redundant, there's a lot of it which feels like it has little purpose other than just being there, and there's almost never anything unique or interesting about those kinds of places. Given that only certain monsters will drop certain cards, and you have no idea of knowing this, it makes exploration feel somewhat quaint, and rarely rewarding in neither a tangible sense nor a novelty sense.

Luck stat does NOT improve drops or critical hit rate in any of the GBA games, at all, btw.
