Nectaris seems like the kind of game that should have been released on the Amiga but somehow wasn't.

Nectaris is cool but Panzer General is the real deal

Nectaris was an attempt at modernizimg and streamlining the experience for console audiences, adding nice graphics, cutscenes, music, speeding up the process etc. It was Advance Wars before Advance Wars (Famicom Wars was still ugly and slow)
