Everything is so negative /here/, say something nice about a genre you hate.
>JRPGs almost always have excellent music.
>>
uhhh
I don't actively hate any genre but I don't care for roguelight/likes.
They give lots of replayability and dopamine when you get a good run, which I felt and enjoyed in the few times I've played one.
>>
Fighting games often have great character designs
>>
Visual novels often have big anime titties.

Mmorpg sometimes have a good community I guess
>>
JRPGs tend to have great art design and music
I unironically can't name ANYTHING I like about shmups lmao
>>

Beat'em Ups are great with friends (wish I still had friends...)
Also agree with anons above, except shmups can have great music too and some look nice
>>
>Sierra games
they stopped soft locking you in their games once they went out of business
>>
Diablo was excellent use of isometric layout
>>
I like shmups and srpgs for its secondary aspects. Cool settings, graphics, ost are usually top notch.

I just dislike everything about their gameplay
>>
Sports games.

I like that they are time capsules of who was who back when the games came out. But I never play them myself.
>>
Racing games sometimes have nice scenery
>>
>>12066271
Shooters usually seem to have a lot of weapon variety
>>
>>12066271
First person shooters sometimes have really impressive AI like in F.E.A.R

RTS games... uh... can least have some interesting concepts in world and story design.

Seriously, I have no clue what people see in these games. It seems like the most mundane, uninteresting genre ever.

If you associate RTS with asians rapidly clicking around a map while a bunch of colors fly across the screen, then I wouldn't blame you. For me, RTS games are fun because I see them as arcade-like civilization sims. I play them as if I'm starting a society from scratch and guiding its development. I like having a domain where I can do anything I want, deciding where all of my facilities will be placed, managing resources, and finding a way to create this little world that is both efficient and aesthetically pleasing. The faster paced nature of these games versus civ sims also creates a greater sense of urgency, and the threat of complete destruction gives you motivation that those kind of games don't always provide.

Walking Simulators can feel calm and meditative by way of their minimalist nature.
>>
Fighting games got some hot chicks

>WRPGs aren't afraid to show off blood and gore
