I've might of heard of it from a magazine, OP, but I've definitely never played 'Bio Freaks'. Is it any good?

As for me, a friend of mine lent me this for a couple of days it was none stop action but a bit too tough for me at the time, and when I spoke about it with friends none of them had ever heard of it, one of them even laughed in disbelief and said that there wasn't a PlayStation game called 'ONE'. That same friend then saw the memory card save a few weeks later when we were playing 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater' instead of working on the project we should've been doing, only then did he believe me.

they always had a bunch of copies at AMES, but I didn't have a PlayStation.

I rented this game a couple of times. It was okay

Terrible port. MK4 on home consoles was geometrically crippled enough as it was.

I remember this game. Never played it but it got some coverage.
>>
>>12066817
Thanks for reminding me OP, I used to love this game
The stages had platforms and stuff and you could move around right
The final boss was a giant metal bull or something
Gonna search youtube for this game rn
>>
>>12066817
I played it but could never beat that huge ass boss fighter at the end as a kid
It was okay experimental 3D fighting game, I liked how you could kill opponent by using arenas themselves
>>
>>12067138
First time I saw bump maps in a game. That's the main thing I remember it for.

Fun game for what it is though I wish the level cap wasn't 15. To be honest when mobile gaming started to become a thing I thought games like this and FF tactics were gonna make a small comeback. Not shit that was designed to swallow your wallet.
>>
>>12066817
I'm not sure if it's not famous or not, in my country yes it wasn unknown even for the Rap/hip hop fans and I saw a friend having a copy (fake) of thrill kill and I tought it was the bad copy of my game when I was a child and saw it on a friend house, lvoe those years of unsupervisioned gaming with my brother and father, but when my mother came in always had to put down the controller or look away or go to another room. Miss those times where you could convicne your mother to buy GTa but after she see you kill a prostitute she decide to ground you.

I love this one and I agree it's too limiting and rigid. A modern take with Disgaea-like flexibility thrown in would be amazing.

Out of the blue, I just remember reading about this game Lone Soldier from Die Hard GameFan... and I thought to myself: "I wonder what happened to this one?", and apparently it was released in the EU and japan only. It is an incredibly generic PS1 action game that was released in January 1996.

Not even a furry, but I liked how you got to fly around in certain areas. It even had a post-game which you don't really see in games of this era, though it didn't actually let you play more of the game and acted more like an interactive epilogue.

I remember playing that for the N64.
Flying Dragon is probably my favorite fighting game for the N64.
>>
>>12068979
I remember this on PC, it had RTS controls where you had to click on where you wanted to move, but it also used mouse gestures in tandem with clicking and holding down a key to use different attacks.
I assume the Dreamcast version gave the game a real, actual control scheme instead because trying to play a 10 hour game that way was horrible.

I miss 3d platformers "with attitude".
>>
I dare you to post more obscure original 3d platformer that had English release.
>>
>>12068705
This game was released in early 1996 in Europe and Japan. But oddly no North American release. You think this one would have been picked up and localized for the NA market. The game looks like it plays like Ikari Warrior or Commando, but in 3D. Lone Soldier is an incredibly generic prototypical PS1 game.

Still baffles me that a SINGLE new mission for this was sold as add-on and you had to pay for it about the same amount as the main game.
>>12068950
Played vanilla one but never got my hands on 3rd Reich
Pretty fun TRPG
>>12069371
Played it on PC, had no idea it was also ported to PS2
I don't think I got very far, like 3-4 levels at most - I do remember the entire gimmick with crystals having different magic based on color and dealing with those shadow monsters.
>>
>>12066817
Bio Freaks like War Gods both from Midway and use the same engine (later used for MK4). I liked them, they had good ideas and felt fresh, very 90s. Too bad neither got a sequel. Other games that had that same vibe but from different companies were Dark Rift & Mace The Dark Age. They all have their flaws but are cool fighting games that deserved more.

Yeah this was a common game. My friend got it in a lot with about a hundred loose PSX and PS2 games. We played all of them at least a little bit but I do not remember the gameplay from that one at all.
>>
i remember this old pc game from the early 2000's all i remember from it was that it was a top down rts style game with this robot on the cover
i remember him having an orange hard hat or just that there was fiery orange colors to the cover

i cannot remember the name of it or anything else really beyond that

does anyone have any idea what it could have been?

I remember being really intrigued by it after seeing a trailer/some gameplay(?) of it on TV once. Never owned a 7th gen console so I couldn't play it at the time.
Then I was able to play it recently thanks to emulation and it turns out it's just painfully mediocre. Such a shame too, it has the attitude and an original concept, and the sheer quantity and quality of characters' animations shows someone really cared
>>
>>12067138
I remember seeing this in magazines everywhere but never played it since my PC couldn't even properly run the demo.
Same with MDK.

no. after emuing some games i missed out on when i did have a real PSX, and being disappoint, i realised i loved the 16 bit era more. and maybe GBA.

>muh obscura games
Nectaris, PSX.
Metatopical Junior College 1, PC98 (but i played the DOS taiwaneses port).
Sword Quest, share DOS RPG.
Exile 3, Win98 RPG from Spiderweb.
too many Flash games.
Dracula in London, DOS RPG that plays like a boardgame of sorts with a time limit.
Rockstar, DOS text-based Sim game.

i have it on GOG and never got about beating it.
it also had problems with the background music which will crash the game unless i set my PC audio to 48000 Hz(DVD quality), and the main menus lags for some reason. might be a bad PC port.
>i like the NTR plot.
i probably should play Dead By The Sword too.

>>
>>12067138
Yeah I bought this at or two after release. It was a cool concept and kinda fun but I didn't get too far into it, I probably got stuck. I bought daikatana at the same time and couldn't even get it to run on my pc so I traded that in. I think I still have messiah in the game zone somewhere
