ITT: Halloween in video games. Not looking for zombies or spoopy video games. Those are fine and all, but give me actual Halloween inside a video game (even if it's only one level). Halloween themed games are also welcome. I'm going to post a few and I hope you can take it from there.
Since you seem to be talking about shmups a lot recently, here's a good one: Deathsmiles. Interesting thing to mention: Deathsmiles II is all about Christmas. Maybe something for a few months from now?
Obligatory. I've seen a lot of posts about MediEvil recently, probably because Halloween is right around the corner. I think this game looks great but I've never played it.
Here's an old one that probably doesn't hold up very well today: Halloween on the Atari 2600.
This is another old game that I've never played. I have never played any game on the ZX Spectrum, I must admit. Still it's Halloween.

Jack Bros. This is supposed to be a spin off of the Megami Tensei series made by Atlus. I guess this is the first entry to be released outside of Japan? The Virtual Boy came out after the SNES and I think a lot of the sprite work for Virtual Boy games doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Probably because it wasn't very popular and also because the sprites were monochrome.
>>12070894Pumpkin Zone in Super Mario Land 2 is a good example
Bully.Who could forget the fantastic Halloween part? This game is truly great and one of my favorites. Don't forget there is also a Christmas part too.
>>12070894Mega Man 7 has Shade Man, which has a couple Ghouls n' Ghosts references to boot
Jersey Devil.I think this is technically just Halloween themed or inspired, but it absolutely feels like you're running around a neighborhood trick or treating or something. It feels like you're wearing a costume and collecting candy or something.
I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but the last games I want to mention are the Halloween movie games. There were many movies made in the early 2000s that had Halloween in them and because every big film had to have a video game tie in, we have these games as well. They're probably not bad games, but there are surely many games that fit this criteria. I will post Monster House and The Nightmare Before Christmas because of nostalgia.
