How do you find out your local pinballs?I usually use the Insert Coin app (Europe). Works great and the maps is usually up to date.My worst experience was traveling 30 minutes to play Indiana Jones (good old widebody). The bar's owner was an old bitter lady in her late 60s. There was no one else. I ordered a beer (which tastes soapy) and asked if I could turn the machine on... she refused, and said it was "broken" when I insisted.So there I was, drinking a shitty beer in silence.>>12079595It's a nice machine but I can't bear the music. They also add extra lights so i can see all the playfield art. I don't go anywhere else for just pinball.There's a (mostly vintage) arcade bar a mile south with a dozen base models that take 1 quarter or a token that costs me $0, $0.10, $0.25/2 or $0.25 depending on when i go and how many people hand me their extras on the way out because i'm cute.And another with several EMs for entry fee. It's also a vintage arcade, mini golf, bar, music venue with two stages, and a few other things, inside a former can factory. Bigger cans, not just soup for your family.
I like sticking my dick in the coin return slot because I play way better when i'm humping the machines. Tilting is a problem, but if I can avoid that then I always get a really big score. Some of the games are actually more fun when you play them this way. Simpsons Pinball Party is a real slut.

>>12080942Thankfully you can turn off the shitty cartoon animations, ball trail and pop up scores. Physics seem the same as the PC/console version with separate normal and supposedly more realistic physics although I couldn't tell you how realistic as I haven't touched a real machine since the 90s.

>>12080957Pinball FX physics are crap. However, VPX works in VR and also does mixed reality with better physics, hundreds of better recreations of real machines, and can be used with any kind of hardware including shakers, solenoids, and other motors.
