Just skip Fromsoft entirely and play Elder Scrolls.

I played this about two years back with the translation patch
the atmosphere is unbelievably good, it gets off to a strong start but reveals its hand too quickly
even with the translation it's hard to understand what any of the stats do, or what any of the save / shop crystals or whatever they are do either
around the mid-game it starts to shower you in equipment and weapons, but none of it makes any tangible difference. all sword weapons attack the same for example
compounded on the loot showering it has some kind of durability system that sucks too, but I can't even remember how it worked anymore
overall it's pretty clearly rushed and generally unpolished. it somehow feels too long and also not long enough, probably because it's just so repetitive after a certain point
