I'm sorry but Crash Bandicoot is way better than Crash 2. The simplicity and island themes of the first one are way better than the backtracking and convoluted level entrances introduced in the second.
>>
I'm sorry but who cares? These fags and their low effort threads.
*BRRRRRAAAPPPPPPPPPP*
>>
if crash 2 didn't exist we wouldn't have coco bandicoot furry incest porn so crash 2 wins by default
>>

I agree, plus the boss of Crash 2 is fucking trash
>>
Agree, the island map looks much cooler than the lame lobby of 2 (3 has a lobby too, but it looks nice so it's less distracting)
That said the ugly pepe you posted is not helping our point bro
>>
all crash bandicoot is shit because all naughty dog /vr/ is shit. the only good games they ever made are the uncharted series.

Papu Papu, now THAT'S a boss.

Get real
>>
>>12081085
Uncharted is dreck. 1 is so bad and boring I couldn't even finish it.
>>
>>12081087
Oops, I meant the last boss specifically. Just chasing Cortex through a space corridor was anticlimactic as fuck. Then doing it again after getting all of the gems just for an extra cutscene was lame too

I don't get why everyone insists on 100%ing these games. Sounds like fucking torture and apparently it is because everyone complains about it. I guess I could understand if it's the only game you own and want to get the most out of it, but I much prefer playing them normally.

Crash 2 is satisfying to 100%

1 and 3 aren't

the expanded iconic moveset overrules everything you listed.

That doesn’t even exist. Link the top examples right now to prove me wrong.

People like complaining when they're playing something difficult, makes success feel better in contrast
>>
>>12081096
You're misremembering things. The only boss you need to beat twice to see the true ending is Cortex in 3.

In 1, you just need to enter The Great Hall with all the gems.
In 2, once you get the final gem, you can enter another area of the hub where N.Bryo and Coco are waiting so you can blast Cortex's station out of space.
>>
>>12081146
It's actually pretty easy because almost every level takes less than 3 minutes to complete. So usually you only need to enter a level thrice to fully complete it.

What is bullshit is trying to find the secret warps in Crash 2 without looking them up. The remakes give you hints on the loading screen, but nothing of the sort in the original.
>>
>>12081353
The gems are bullshit vs one as well. Getting colored gems was way more intuitive in the first Crash.
>>
>>12081371
I'm almost 100% sure they made it so you got the colored gems in Crash 3 by going through the death routes because at least 2 (red and purple I think) in Crash 2 were so obnoxious to find that people only got them after looking it up on magazines. Remember this was before the internet became ubiquitous.

One of the secret warps needed you to belly slam a carnivore plant alone on a small island. Nothing gave you any reason to do this, because the game taught you before that only digging under them could hurt them. Jumping or spinning on them only hurt you back. And the worst thing was, you could SEE the red gem in a stage and almost touch it with a good jump (you can actually get it this way, but you need perfect timing).

>you could SEE the red gem in a stage and almost touch it with a good jump

Reminds me of the gem room in Jungle Rollers in the first Crash that you could kind of see at the bottom of a pit. I tried timing multiple jumps down there as a kid to see what that room was before I knew how the colored gems worked.

Honestly, yeah. There's an artful simplicity to the first one.
The second one is like "dude, we need constant voice acted cutscenes to pad things out".

Of the three, the first is my favorite and it has a more classic style. The next two (and Crash Team Racing) all have the same aesthetic. A bit more story, voice acting and etc.

The original is not that far removed from a 16-bit 2d sidescroller. The map is better in my opinion and the level disign is tighter and better. It’s a bit more difficult. Having to get all the boxes without dying is definitely more of a challenge. The lack of analog control benefits a game like that because it keeps the motion in straight lines. You’re typically moving on the X and Y or Y and Z axis (Y being vertical), but rarely X and Z.

The esoteric hidden levels are a but ridiculous, but they were just meant to be easter eggs, so it’s not a big deal.
>>
>>12081146
100% is playing them normally. You are playing a castrated version if you don't go for it actually

Jak and Daxter fucking sucks and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't. The only thing it has going for it is impressive graphics.
>>
>>12082652
The first game is genuinely good. The rest of the series sucks
