Looking for more adventure games that feel like this. I like the sort of intrinsically motivated nature of the adventure, where there aren't any explicit objectives, but where one's own curiosity drives the gameplay.
>>12085586idk, probably Mario 64
I guess Myst would fit
>>12085650I liked myst, but thought some of the acting/writing was super cheesy and retarded. Are the sequels any better?

>>12085967I didn't even know. I'll check it out
>>12085662Riven is a kino graphic adventure, the best of the series although it has some hard puzzles. Exile is fine.IV has better acting and budget but you maybe wont like the story, don't bother with V even if its the end of the mainline Myst games

>>12086387I'm assuming there's no English localization yet then? That might be something fun to do
>>12085586Morrowind
>>12085586Waxworks?I mean if you go blind the game is pretty confusing and really trial and error with lots of death and death animations.
>>12085586it's not quite as freeform and open as Kyoto but it's still one of the better early graphical adventures in that style
Gothos is pure FMV cheese where you just walk around all night doing vampire stuff.
>>12085586Fabled lands java
>>12087132the ross video on this wasn't half bad, though I wished he did more DOS stuff
>>12088342Bless you.
>>12089967I'd also suggest Submachine Universe if you want another point and click adventure game with no dice rolls like Kyoto. It's not retro but it's over a decade old.
