It's like a discount PS1But a discount PS1 (the GOAT console) is still a great console On the exclusive library,some are extremely overated (Guardian heroes,Panzer dragoon saga,Sakura...) and some are underated (Nights, Taromaru...)
actually remember no one really playin it back then other than road rash and outrun it didnt have anything so everyone played pc at the time or ps1only rich kids had it and even they never played it

>>12092248>What’s your take on the console and its games?i got one when they were being liquidated. i want to say from sears but im not sure. dont remember the price either, but it came with nights, the 3 pack with virtua cop, virtua fighter, daytona, and a sampler disc. i eventually got mr. bones, road rash, alien trilogy, and bug! i played way more playstation than saturn but it was still a good pickup for the price. i never played panzer dragoon or most of the "hidden gems"

Something about booting up Virtua Cop and firing away with the Stunner that no other console can capture. That beautiful blue sky, the sick tunes that feel distinctly cop and distinctly sega, the bosses with the little dialog quips, and the heavy duty challenge of the last half of stage 2 and 3.I also love the 3d models. They're super cool and clean looking and move around in this really fun way. And I love seeing that flashing "JUSTICE SHOT."

The three Panzer Dragoon games are worth owning the system. Same reason my Xbox is for Orta and Breakdown.

I only ever played VF2 and Fighters Megamix back then. They were okay, but I hyped the console in my mind because I was really into Mortal Kombat back then and believed it had the best ports of II, UMK3, and Trilogy. Now I learned they were shitty ports and no longer care. I grew up on snes and ps1 so I never owned a Saturn.

I used to get Funcoland catalogs around 1999-2000 and I remember them clearing out Saturns for $30. Really wanted to get one but the store near me sold out by the time I got there.Found an example. Not a single game over $60.
