What is your opinion of these gameru?
>>12094662>gameru
It's fucking great. Playing MM6 after playing a much harder game like Wizardry 6 is like going on vacation and fucking all the prettiest ladyboys.
Fun first person shooter.
>>12094903retard
>>12094662titty
>>12094804>LadyboysSooo... you're saying that it's... easy and gay?
>>12094662certified poser-core slopit's not even the best M&M game
>>12094946>did not master blaster rifles in late game
>>12094946You never played the game, brownioid. If you did, you'd know that if you really wanted to, you could give bows/crossbows to your entire party (there's no class restriction to using ranged weapons) and then proceed to play the game like a really janky fps, arrow snipping everything in your way.
>>12094662>part VIYou're supposed to start with the first game
>>12095061You can do that starting from M&M3 onwards. In fact, it's stronger in the turn/step-based titles, since you get several turns to lob projectiles from your entire party (as long as you can see the enemy, you can shoot them).
>>12095002World of Xeen is the best M&M game.
>>12095153>get a quest to get rid of a bug infestation next door>get lost>bugs keep attacking>partymembers start dying>quit >uninstallwell if that's the best entry in the series then i'm sure am glad i dodged the bullet
>>12095181got filtered lmao
>>12095136It's pretty poor in mm3-5 because it does way less than melee and most enemies shoot back, and enemies are allowed to move and shoot in the same turn when you can only shoot. So if it's not complete fodder it's not relevant
>shrapnel>black potions>weird ass dungeon with perma stats right at the start of the game>every character is a bow user>flight during fights + up/down to avoid projectilesgreat game (unironically)
>>12094662one of the greatest games ever made. i still replay 6-8 once a year starting in the winter.mm is obviously not celebrated for its story but the writing is actually pretty funny.
>>12095301>the writing is actually pretty funnywell it's NWC
Finally a thread about this glorious game and you fags just have to taint it with all your gay shit
>>12095443Pseuds have to pretend to hate it because it's just fun instead of ballbusting.
>>12094662Ugly as sin, but charming and soulful.
>>12094662The best way to play MM6 it is to treat it like a massively open-world Doom clone with all the depth of an RPG. In that sense, it's like no other game ever.
>>12094956No. I'm saying it has sex, unlike you.
Its been a while, but was it this or 7 that had all the mutilated women in every dungeon? Because it seemed like the artists undisguised fetish
>>12095061So then by your logic, Metal Gear Solid 3 is a first person shooter, since you can go in first person and shoot people, you fucking dumb-nigger.
>>12095991why are you so angry?
>>12095267>does way less than melee Technically yes, because the multiplier is very low (d2). However they deal more consistent damage: ex. a barebones crossbow does between 4 and 8 damage (4d2), whereas a similarly basic 1-handed flail, usable by anybody except a cleric, does anywhere between 1 and 10 (1d10).
>>12096146he knows he isn't convincing and it frustrates him
>>12094662I only like HoMM
I love crpgs but these are too janky for me.It feels like a scuffed fps with how much you just weave and shoot arrows at things.Spell casting never feels good in first personWould love these games if they were done in the same style as an infinity engine game
>>12095002go back to /v/ you fucking faggot
>>12095181in the future you should keep the fact that you failed the tutorial mission to yourself
>>12095936it's this one, I'm not sure about every dungeon but the wolf lair in Blackshire has them
My favorite is either Heroes 2 or 3, can't really decide. 2 has better graphics and music, but 3 is more refined, better balanced, lets you keep heroes in campaign for more of an RPG feel, etc. Yes, this is a hijack.
The graphics are unbelievably ugly and I hate the kitchen-sink fantasy with aliens.
>>12097525It's an aesthetic of a Star Trek TOS episode where the gang lands on a medieval planet, just because the studio had an access to costumes and props from a different medieval drama TV show, so they wrote those props into a Star Trek script.
>>12097525Aliens were a thing in a fair number of early RPGs. Back then, the circle for D&D and general fantasy fans neatly intersected with the one for sci-fi nerds, in a hypothetical Venn diagram.
>>12097525Yeah it was a common trope that the fantasy world is actually scifi that it boomerang from interesting back to basic I roll my eyes every-time someone corrects someone else that final fantasy is just fantasy
>>12097750I get it. I just don’t like it.
>>12095123but also the heroes series story ties into 6 7 8 so you have to play those too
>>12097525It's insanely ugly and released way, way later than you'd think, in spring of 199-fucking-8, so you can't say it was some early experiment like Betrayal at Krondor. But I personally do like fantasy-into-sci-fi
>>12094662I only played 6 and 7 but I liked 7 a good deal better. it's tighter and better paced with some cool story branching later on.
Too complicated
>>12095928But according to your comment it has sex with men.
>>12096146Stupid pedantic arguments generally should anger anyone who goes by rationality and not the convenience of technicalities.
>>12098624Blobberfags deserve death. Top down just makes so much more sense for RPGs.
Okay, what's your opinion of THIS game tho?
>>12102952see >>12100871better than 6 and the right length for this kind of game imo where 6 felt like it'll never end. pretty good art design also a welcome change.
>>12097750I ran these modules back in first edition ad&d. Killing frogs with laser rifles felt weird even then.
>>12102952Worse than 6 and 8.
