I've become obsessed with Tetris latelyAll I ever want to play is TetrisThe only games that aren't Tetris I want to play are games similar to itIn my restless dreams I see the falling blocksI'm not sure why, but Tetris has taken over my brain
anon...you may have autism...
>>12103569>don't have any of the symptoms>never been diagnosed admittedly>don't have that weird hyperfixation thing autists get>understand social cues>understand and sympathise with other peopleI'm completely normal, I just got really into Tetris lately
That's fine. What sort of action puzzlers have you been playing outside of Tetris?
>>12103572>don't have that weird hyperfixation thing autists get
>>12103563>In my restless dreams I see the falling blocksThat's literally called the Tetris Effect even though it happens with other things toohttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris_effectTetris is just a great game
>>12103576Lumines, Panel De Pon, Magical DropI tried getting into Puyo but I feel like I fundamentally don't understand it, even though it seems fun
>>12103705You just match the slimes till you get 4 touching each other. Then you just make combos with that knowledge. It's probably the easiest one to play. But I dunno, I grew up with Mean Bean Machine so it might've just clicked with me earlier.
>>12103572>understand social cuesyeah, you don't...
>>12103563Tetris IS a damn good game, though there's many other games I also want to play. I played it shitton over the summer and early fall this year, but I'm kinda Tetris'd out for a while now.>>12103572>don't have that weird hyperfixation thing autists getOh, I don't know about that part.>understand social cues>understand and sympathise with other peopleThose things are pretty variable on a case by case basis (it can be just a little bad or outright crazy bad). Autists can do it, they just tend to need to learn to understand them. If you have kid and learn early on that they're autistic, and it's not the crippling kind, you can potentially mitigate a LOT of that damage by properly conditioning and habilitating them, and helping them learn how to pick up on things like that and how to understand it. If you instead decide to pretend like nothing at all and refuse to do any of that, you end up with Chris-Chan instead.>>12103586I get that with some other games. I actually often have dreams about the original Diablo, fucking love that game.
i have had a gameboy in my pocket for three consecutive days

>>12103563Wait until you find out about the Tetris clones and carts, it's kinda neat.Though the music gets irritating after 29 mins nonstop, the Virtual Boy version of the Tetris Japanese release is really cool too NES and Gameboy versions are GOAT. SNES version is interesting in a way.Gameboy Color version is pretty cool too imo.
>>12103563Congratulations, you have autism. Now cut your dick off.
>>12104039Be a speedrunner while you're at it.
>>12104039lolwut
>my little tetris thread almost died because of a single spammerChrist
Do TGM cabs in Japan use 4-way or 8-way gates? I have an arcade stick but I'm kinda thinking using an 8-way for Tetris is gimping myself...
>>12104707But also I don't want to have to switch it all the time because I use this stick for shmups as well
>>12103563puzzle leagueKirby star stacker (gb and snes)panel de ponpuyo puyo/lean bean machine/kirby's avalanche(also known as ghost trap in europe)doctor Mariolumines
I can't stand the music in Lumines outside Shinin
>>12104473Most trannies have autism.
>>12104802Why can't we say VNR in posts anymore?
>>12104707For proper Classic rule TGM play, people use zangi-moves - the up-down used to quickly lock a piece, when used with either left or right movement, is like pulling off Zangief 360s in Street Fighter, or at least Capcom's macroed way of doing one so you don't have to hit all directions of the 360. I can't see quicklocking and movement at the same time being possible with a 4 way gate, something you -need- pre TGM3 where World rule doesnt exist. Classic's advantage is rolling pieces down your stack even after a hard drop, cus you need that down press to lock before gravity does it for you.
I play gb Tetris all the time at work. I'm alright
What is special about tetr.io?
>>12103563>Tetris is just stacking!
>>12109909it's just a good competitive client that runs in the browser, it's the only client with working matchmaking. it also has quick play which is its own thingit's in beta but theyre working on a big release with a new ui or something
