But still WR for me.Pilotwings 64 is really good but the hang glider filtered me as a kid, it requires patience, which most kids don't have.Loved it more as an adult as well, the jumping shoes are so fun to use, I wish I had access to that as a kid. It's a really fun mechanic and weirdly I don't think any other game ever replicated it.

I recently bought a copy of Wave Race 64. Haven't played it yet though, except to test the cartridge.Today I made my first attempt at playing through another recent acquisition: Super R.C. Pro-Am for the Game Boy. It was fun enough, and was about what I expected: R.C. Pro-Am, but portable and harder to play because you can't visually identify powerup items very easily. (Everything lying on the track looks very similar when you're driving swiftly past it on that blurry little four-color screen.)

If I had a gripe w either game it’s the lack of unlockables, yet I still put hundreds if not thousands of hours between Wave Race, Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, and Beetle Adventure Racing. Also the physics in this game are well beyond even the GameCube version iirc. Anyway the waves even to this day and the way it interacts w your jet speed is as technological miracle.
