YouTubers and X.com users are genuinely the biggest scumbag pieces of shit in the world, always looking for other peoples work to steal and find a possible way to profit off of them. Then if you do something to defend your copyrighted work, they try to turn it around on you and make you the bad guy. It's very sick.
I've long since accepted that anything I post here is going out into the ether and I'm fine with that. I effortpost constantly but I also sometimes save and compile my own posts in a big text file just so I'm not losing my own work. Not that I'd repurpose it for anything, but at least I still get to "have it" in a journal sort of way, if that makes sense. Some of my shitposts have been screencapped and reposted for thousands of upboats, though.

It's fine, video essays are gonna be forgotten in time too. Retro games will be left alone in peace again eventually. This is like the 80s nostalgia moment that lasted a whole decade and no one cares about anymore. Even the indie games are getting to the 6th gen rehash era quite soon which don't have enough of a signature like everything that came before it
