>made a thread here on /vr/ last week about favorite strange/uncommon places in games and used the way to Milky Well in Earthbound as an example

I should copyright my threads dammit.

You might be shitposting but I do think some YouTubers and journalists steal our fucking topics. I semi commonly post new fan translation I've noticed every time I post those, within an hour Time Extension will post an article with the exact same talking points.

Jack Yarwood, I'm looking directly at you, you fucking piece of shit.
>>
>>12104642
Normalfags have been stealing from 4chin for its entire existence
>>
>>12104642
They call him Jack Yarrrrwood for a reason, matey, for he be plunderin' yer booty.
>>
>>12104642
You should test next time by typing up a post, putting in the captcha, putting the mouse over the submit button but not hit it. If an article doesn't show up within 60 minutes you are correct.
>>
>>12104670
Come on, that would just prove that Jack Yarwood put a spy bot on anon's computer since he's such a valuable ressource on retro game news.
>>
>>12104974
he's living in anon's walls
>>
>>12104642
of course. this site is a dream for journalism in that sense. Written content by anonymous who cant claim anything
>>
I'm now going to assume that any faggot asking that eternally retarded question "is this game worth playing?" is doing it because he wants to know what will make the most profitable video essay.
>>
At the end of the day ... retro.
>>
>>12106792
but only if it's later skater
>>
one of two things
1. collective unconscious gave you both the ideas
2. youtuber desperate for gaming content is lurking /vr/ to steal

this is why i never participate in any "what's your game idea that you really wish you could make!?" because it's just someone trying to steal good ideas
>>
>>12104646
Well, 4chan basically invented 60% of the internet culture, 95% since 2007
>>
>>12105306
Unironicaly this
>>

/tg/ is dead because there are so many yt content farmers lurking the board to ride the Critical Role coattails. Nobody posts OC anymore because it will immediately get snatched up and reposted on someone's monetized channel.
>>
YouTubers and X.com users are genuinely the biggest scumbag pieces of shit in the world, always looking for other peoples work to steal and find a possible way to profit off of them. Then if you do something to defend your copyrighted work, they try to turn it around on you and make you the bad guy. It's very sick.
>>
I've long since accepted that anything I post here is going out into the ether and I'm fine with that. I effortpost constantly but I also sometimes save and compile my own posts in a big text file just so I'm not losing my own work. Not that I'd repurpose it for anything, but at least I still get to "have it" in a journal sort of way, if that makes sense. Some of my shitposts have been screencapped and reposted for thousands of upboats, though.
>>
>>12105306
Back in the day people used to namefag their effortposts.
>>
>>12104635
the idea that youtubers browse the chan boards for video ideas is fuckin ridiculous
>>
>>12104635
Someone's full of themselves.
>>
It's fine, video essays are gonna be forgotten in time too. Retro games will be left alone in peace again eventually. This is like the 80s nostalgia moment that lasted a whole decade and no one cares about anymore. Even the indie games are getting to the 6th gen rehash era quite soon which don't have enough of a signature like everything that came before it

>indie games are getting to the 6th gen rehash era quite soon
Are they?
As I'm aware, it's gone like
>Early-mid 2000s, NES nostalgia era
>2010s, SNES nostalgia era but devs are too retarded to learn how to make actual SNES pixel art
>2020s, PSX nostalgia era, which is actually feasible for people to make
>>
>>12104642
I've noticed the opposite on /pol/. Most of the posts there are just rewarmed Xwitter content.
>>
>>12109636
Yes, a lot of PS1 zoomer discord bait throwbacks have been happening lately but its already oversaturated and theres been a bunch of gba-likes coming out more and more, whereas the home console tributes have trouble materializing as its harder to make them since they had less of their own personal "style" as its just 3D graphics maturing to what we know today. The nostalgia farming for video games is almost nearly over. 7th gen phase might have 1 or 2 brown and bloom things but then there won't be anything left to milk. Everyone will move on leaving only the trufans tm
