>>12108368My local arcade ran two MK2 arcade cabinets. Always a line for them. It was the perfect sequel. Better graphics, sound, more characters, more stages, more fatalities, more Easter eggs. The word of mouth rumors about secret things in the game were cool. I remember the big rumor at the time was that Sub-Zero had a hidden fatality where he would turn into a polar bear and maul the opponent. I had other people at the arcade tell me they saw someone do it once or their cousin knew a guy who knew how to do. In one of the strategy guides I had, there was an interview with EB and JT and they addressed the polar bear rumor and were coy about it. Not really confirming or denying it. The hype about the game and the conversation about hidden stuff and new discoveries was really fun to be apart of. It was a different time. You didn’t have some faggot content creator coming out with videos, hours after the game was released, revealing secrets about the game or who the best character was. You just played, tried new stuff to discover new moves, combos and fatalities and talked with other players to try and see if they discovered anything new. It was fun.

Our whole society is based on theft using violence of the state and we're not allowed to show our desire to be free so it comes out in projecting ourselves into powerful, murderous characters. I would definitely like to go to the no kings rally and pull out the skulls and spines of most of the people there. Our parents also brutally control us with violence and this teaches us that whoever has the most violence gets to say what happens. People's child selves desperately want to be free from violence and the only way a child thinks of being free is destroying those that are oppressing and using violence against them (society and parents). It's something very deep in our psyche, something that's been pushed there by those that rule over us.
