Some goofiness only adds up to the fun.It has only two problems - early 3d make fatalities to look a little too bland compared to 1/2/3 and it had added some characters nobody gives shit about like Jarek instead of Kano and Tanya (as the roster after UMK3/Trilogy looks somewhat cut). It has all iconic characters (which were made even more iconic by the cartoon), it had even added Quan-Chi (straight from the cartoon). In general it has better roster, than normal MK3 (which had initially decided to do away with colored ninjas in masks only to find out, that people actually like colored ninjas in masks - most likely some "critic" had pointed ninja recolors as a flaw) but lowest lows of the roster in 4 are worse, than lowest lows of 3.
