Why isn't this series universally considered better than Gradius for its superior scoring system borrowed from TwinBee?

Barely anyone play either series, let alone care about scoring autism. All in all they are pretty similar, Parodius is just slightly more "modern" for ditching multiloops

Because very few people care about score even in the "arcade" community, the great majority of people play for survival and 1cc. That said, parodius is a considerable more famous series outside of the "arcade" community.
