Happy 30 years of Terranigma!
>Ark invents the burger>Never came out in burgerlandWhat were they thinking? He would have been bigger than Mario.
Never played it, but happy birthday
this thread is a good excuse to post this. I don't remember who made it, but it's beautiful:
I really love Illusion of Gaia but I've never played Terranigma or Soul Blazer. Is there a certain order they're meant to be played? I have Act Raiser and Robotrek so I really should complete my Quintent collection soon
The game looks great, sounds great, but damn it's a chore to play.Honestly I gave up in the starting village. What's wrong with the gameplay?I assume the game picks up steam later, but it made Alundra look like Extreme G.
Some anon dumped a bunch of concept art a while back.

>>12113885I love this game, sad that Americans never experienced this masterpiece
Terranigma balls
>>12114356I did, on a reproduction cart. Fucked up that we never got it.We got EarthBound at least, so there's the trade off
>>12114298They're all standalone, Soul Blazer is the shorter/simpler game
>>12114356i at least got to experience it via emulation in the late 2000s. magical game.
I remember that the game was surprisingly popular in Europe back in the day

What's the point of saying happy birthday to a video game? >Terraniggma: "Hey guys, thanks for the birthday wishes!"
>>12114268Nintendo was going to release it in burgerland (the English translation was made by NOA, not by bongs) but they backed out of it at the last minute because muh N64 was coming out. Since Enix of America had shut down, there was nobody around to publish it.>>12114320I am thankful that his credit card scamming and disappearance has kept Square Enix from messing with his Quintet works (except Actraiser, they managed to remake that one).>>12114312Kamui Fujiwara released a new artbook for the 25th anniversary and another one for the 30th. I have them both, they're very good. He shared a lot of the first one online and then deleted it, but a lot of it was backed up.He and the composers often come out with different stuff for the anniversaries, like a radio play or a semi-animated movie that you can watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSwNryI7Az0
I'm glad they didn't tap Toriyama for this.
