No, it's clear to see that there's a lot that's easy to love.In that sense, Earthbound is comparable for me to Stardust Crusaders, people certainly love it, even me, but there's a lot about it which also isn't as good as it should be.
I just can't into JRPG anymore. I loved them growing up, and still love a few of them, but the vast majority of them are literally just the same characters and storylines slightly altered. You can tell exactly what a JRPG is going to be within the first few minutes.
