Never got into racing games, but I started playing Daytona and just keep coming back

The Saturn port get constantly dunked on over its poor visuals, but it is still a really good racing game despite it.

It's fun ain't it
Sega really knew how to make em

emulated or arcade machine? the arcade machine is so much fun. i think i've spent hundreds of hours sitting in them.

saturn version deserves to be dunked on. it's not very good. its saving grace is the soundtrack that you can play on any CD player. best part of that release - the music was perfection.

Been playing the ported arcade version on PS3
>>

very nice. not played that one. is it a remake or emulation?
>>
>>12115963
Not too sure, pretty sure it's emulating the arcade version
Haven't noticed anything weird or off about it

Sega was hoping arcade ports would save the Saturn.
The fact that Daytona USA didn't even come close to matching the arcade version shows just how delusional they were.
>>
>>12116106
Why would Daytona USA need to save the console which was outselling PlayStation in 1994 and 1995?
>>

They doubled down on console ports in 1997...you know, the year it all went to shit.
