I really the shoulder buttons on the Brick despite everyone else seeming to hate them. Was never a fan of the slopes on other vertical handhelds and one other thing they do better is that L1 and R1 are the longer, bigger buttons as they should be. So many times I see these companies either make them the same size as L2 and R2 so they're not distinct, or even worse, make them smaller than L2 and R2 which is fucking awful. Still only second to the RG300's legendary shoulders though. And one of them fell off while inside my pocket once which spooked me into getting scared I might lose them one day.

The frontend has all your systems and all your games in the one main system interface that you don't have to launch into, it's just always there, which lets you go from home screen to game with nothing else in between wasting your time or breaking up the experience and making it all fill duct taped together. Your system selector/games also won't be on the same homescreen as a web browser, Youtube, text messaging client, file browser, etc all fighting for space as if they're equals. On a proper video game frontend, your games are the main focus, dominating the home screen. Everything else is available and you can get to it, but it'll all be tucked out of the way in a corner, not pretending they're each of equal importance to the retro games on your retro game system.THAT is why you use a frontend instead of just launching an emulator from Android like a retarded retard.

On the whole they're okay, but TrimUI Brick, 35XX Pro, and 40XXV are all going to be better options. If you have great big baseball mitts and aren't going to be taking it places anyway, I'd say get the 40XXV.
