So you're just never going to play this?
I've played it, it's one of my favorites. It's a pretty challenging game
Hey it’s that guy from smash broshttps://youtu.be/s3rTOoPGW3Q
I played a couple of levels, I need to come back to it someday but I still have so many NES games I want to play, the list is endless.
>>12119050Already did years ago. I recall it being pretty fun, though I never got very far into it. Maybe I'll give it a shot fully, one day.
Hey it's that guy from real smash broshttps://youtu.be/AcHhRGD5RRE
Hey it's that guy from Samurai Warriors 3https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgtpGvYaUJQ
>>12119050It’s on Switch Online, it isn’t quirky and rare anymoreAnd yes, it very Japanese and very fun
>>12119095It was on the 3DS as well
>>12119084Mystery of Murasame was Musou before Musou was a thing.
>>12119149Makes sense, I've always considered it to be an early hack n slash game
I played and beat it on a FDS.Most of /vr/ wouldn't be able to beat it. Nobody from nu-/vr/ would be able to beat it.
>>12119318It's not THAT hard. You know what game no one from nu-/vr/ would ever be able to beat? Kiki KaiKai on PCE, I'd say it's somewhat similar to Murasame Castle gameplay-wiseAlso I don't think it's documented anywhere but Murasame actually has loop 2, it's the same except the bosses attack faster
>>12119095Any idea how can I emulate the NSO games for free?
>>12119050Already played it on my 3DS.
>>12119447Uh...........
>>12119447this isnt an nso game this is a famicom game. That should help you.
I played it in Harmony of Despair
>>12119050Why should I? Videogames weren't good until the snes
>>12119447Anon...
>>12119050So why exactly wasn't this game released in the west?>It's a FDS game with savingSo convert it to an MMC1 cart and axe the saving, since the game is so incredibly short that it honestly doesn't need a battery backup in my opinion.>It's too JapaneseNobody would've cared. That didn't stop games like Ninja Brothers from releasing here without issues.>It's too hardSo market the game around the fact that it's for hardcore gamers and completing it was a sign that you were a man.
>>12119447I know this is bait but you can actually emulate the NSO games using a Switch emulator, it works perfectly.
I like nES games a lot but this just seems like an unending exercise in frustration. The combat is downright unfair
What the fuck is this shit?
>>12119050It's one of the best NES games. It kinda has that same action feeling as Shinobi, like the one button attack but context-sensitive melee that can also deflect projectiles is just super satisfying to me.
I should really try to 1cc this at some point. It's probably not too hard, though it feels harder than Castlevania. Castlevania is a fucking baby game though so that's not saying much (I love Castlevania but it's easy as fuck)
>>12120601Probably same reason Mother didn't release: Nintendo of America couldn't afford to release everything Nintendo of Japan did .
>>12120961It’s that guy from Nintendo Land https://youtu.be/EkZFkx52y2g
>>12121197MOTHER is a 1989 game. By the time the English version was finished, it was 1990. By then, they wanted to focus their marketing efforts on the upcoming SNES so it fell through the cracks. The Mysterious Murasame Castle is a 1986 game. There's zero reason they couldn't have brought it over. As stupid as it is, I genuinely think "its too Japanese" is why it didn't get released State side. Boomers are idiots.
>>12119050This game is Koji Kondo's best soundtrack for the Famicom.
Probably the hardest first-party developed Nintendo game, even including their non-retro library. It's not super impossible or anything, but definitely a lot rougher than what you'd expect out of Nintendo.
Sometime later.
>>12123080And even then SMB2J/Lost Levels (FDS) is still harder in my opinions
>>12119050Correct.
>>12119050I did, what the fuck was that final boss?Is this connected to Metroid?
>>12123357No. Play it right now. Faggot.
>>12120567I'm not paying 1/5th of my paycheck +70$ per year just to play a game from literally 40 years ago that's been finally translated into english only last year.
>>12123080>Probably the hardest first-party developed Nintendo game, even including their non-retro libraryWhat an odd thing to sayModern Nintendo games are the easiest games ever made
>>12123080Wasn't this game helped by Grasshopper Manufacture?
>>12125550I played it for five minutes. You're welcome.
