Ratchet. I also like Sly but I could never get into Jak.
>>12119406>Which PS2 platformer series was the best?>Jak XAre you retarded?
>>12119406Only really played the Jak series, with the first game being my favorite. Want to try the Sly and Ratchet though.
>>12119406Ratchet & Clank.Sly is fine, but there's a good reason why it is a lesser known one.As for Jak, all Naughty Dog games are overrated, and it isn't an exception. Jak 2 is the only actually good game in the series. Jak 1 is only good if you're really into scotformers and already played all the better or more interesting games and Jak 3 is a mess.
>>12119439>Jak 2>the only actually good game in the seriesKek
>>12119406I'm a Ratchet and Clank guy. Well honestly I enjoy all of them. But if I had to pick out one as the best - Jak 2's best parts are when it's just being Jak 1 and just about everything it adds is a total wash. Open world, vehicles, the whimpy guns, turret sections, just boring and miserable until you're back in a jungle punching stuff.Sly Cooper 1 is a fairly humdrum platformer with some annoying forced stealth, 2 is decent but then 3 immediately loses the plot by just being a bunch of random setpieces slapped together with zero coherency. Ratchet and Clank, you go down glorified hallways and shoot things with gimmick weapons. Eventually everything nukes the room and you move on to upgrading the next weapon. Everything it's interested in doing, it makes work.I still like all of them, though. And haven't played Jak 3. And Ratchet and Clank is pretty heavily fucking unambitious with its platforming so if that's a dealbreaker I get it.
>>12119439I'm not sure what the reason is it's lesser known. The games came out later? the shift in 2 makes 1 stand out? The focus on characters? They're all very good games.
>>12119491eh...
Gay otters
>>12119406ratchet 1 jak 1 sly 2any other questions
>>12119406Sly 1 is the actual Crash Bandicoot 4.Ratchet and Jak are just things people use to remember the years they came out. They're too generic and bland.
>>12121038>Sly 1 is the actual Crash Bandicoot [sequel]They play nothing alike.
>>12121081People don't exactly play those games with furry protagonists for the gameplay.
>>12120997why in your opinion do those matter
>>12121081Crash 2 and 3 have three main collectibles:one required for progression, one for breaking all boxes (bottles in sly 1),and one for time trial.Sly 1 is also like that.
>>12119406Sly became my personal favorite after beating the trilogy on PS5 but Ratchet is the most consistent for sure.Jak is my least favorite out of the three and I still never beat any of the games which is a shame because I want to love the series but it’s held back so much by it’s identity crisis and lack of polish, going from Mario 64 to GTA to Mad Max isn’t a good indicator of what Jak is about, it’s no wonder he didn’t have enough staying power to atleast reach the PS3 era like Ratchet and even Sly did.
>>12119406Sly 1 > Ratchet 1 > Ratchet 3 > Jak 1 > *gap* > Jak 2 > Jak 3 > Sly 2 > Ratchet 2 > Sly 3
>>12119513reverse image searched this and got bong blasted with dax nuts
>>12119406I don't know because I only played the first game of each of them. I liked all 3, but I would say Sly > Jak > Ratchet
>>12121081Jak & Daxter 1 is just CB in 3d
Jak 1, Ratchet 2 & 3, Sly 2
>>12127029I can kind of see that, CB on a much larger scale, with the jungle setting and whirlwind attack. It's a lot slower, though. Lots of points where you just spam roll dash from A to B. Going for no loading screens over just having levels didn't help the game much.
