Not the best game in the Jedi Knight series but definitely the comfiest. Dark Forces is pure nostalgia for me though.

>>12120636The dismemberment is glorious. In many ways this game is even more brutal than Manhunt.
You are 99% right, chief. But for me it's Dark Forces 2. The water sections with the giant fish terrified me as a kid.
>>12120636It really is peak comfy. I only wish there was an epilogue to the story somehow.
It was funny how you killed Jan so easily, immediately after struggling to kill this guy as he laughed at you and your dead dad.
>>12120730wait, was this guy cut in half like darth maul?
>>12122226Yes
>>12122232so then filoni's shit where he gave darth mauls robot legs wasn't that unrealistic, canonically speaking
>>12120636You might enjoy revelge of the sith on the ps2. One of my favorites is republic commando thoughKing is the OG star wars arcade cabinet
>>12120730How does he shit
>>12120659With the circles? Yeah sometimes lately.
>>12122238Bingo
>>12122442The robotics in his lower torso break it down into fluid that is dumped periodically
>>12122528Come on up, collect your decorative ashtray and potted plant, and thanks for playing!
>>12122238>>12122226This guy (Maw) and Darth Sion (KOTOR 2) were both characters that should have died (in Sion's case multiple times) but were kept alive through their hate and anger through the Dark Side. But you didn't need these characters to know that Maul would have been possible when Darth Vader is already a cyborg with fake legs. Sith being merged with metal and machine after fatal injuries is another major Star Wars trope. It's part of the whole 'light side = balance with nature' 'dark side = industrialisation and environmental destruction' bit.>>12120636My take on this series is that the best game of the series in terms of design, story etc. is DFII:JK, but the game I come back to the most is JK:JA because of how well they nailed the combat mechanics, even if some of the levels are copy and paste corridors. It just feels so fun to cartwheel off a wall, slice a Stormtrooper in the face and then push the rest of his buddies off a high gantry. Both DF and DF2 have that nostalgia spark for me. For DF I have the memory of booting up the demo from a random shareware disk and not knowing what it was, only to suddenly realise I was blasting stormtroopers and stealing the Death Star plans (Andor is definitely at least in part based on Kyle Katarn). For DF2, it's the literal opening the game on Christmas morning feeling.
>>12120730The final dark side ending was a bit emotional: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fJ859JAKfE - I think the point to take away was that the dark side changes him so fundamentally that he would do something like that. How he got that way by finding level secrets is the real mystery.
>>12122531>>12122442He is full of so much hate that his shits simply disintegrate. Also - his lack of ability to shit causes his hate. It's a vicious cycle.
>>12122442see that red tubes coming from his stomach? fun fact: that's how they do it irl too
>>12123630I don't see a colonostomy bag
"Pit Droids" gets absolutely no respect but was so addictive and kino that I had to delete it from my HDD because I was wasting too much time with it. If they ever offered it on Steam I would probably have to quit my job because I know I'd be playing it at least 2 hours a day every day. And the soundtrack... Just playing the soundtrack gives me comfy prequel vibes that I know will never return.
