I have several HORI PS1 sticks I'm pleased with.

just get the budget mayflash and install the stick/buttons you want or start watching marketplace for used sticks

Which will cost more.Then you've got the fact that the lever is not really a standard Seimitsu arcade lever. It's a LS-22, which is more similar to the kind of levers that Hori and Agetec put in their products throughout the 90s. It has short-hinge microswitches and a shorter shaft than an LS-32, more similar to an LS-56 but not really that close to that one either. The buttons are around 24mm and use Tokai MM9-2 keyswitches (same as Seimitsu 24mm buttons). I think a Mayflash F500 V2 that has been modded with Seimitsu parts is a better choice. It's bigger, heavier, has built in turbo, is more easily fixed (and those Tokai switches do have a tendency to break after heavy use) and is tested to have very low latency. It's kind of hard to beat the F500 V2 for price/performance. It's kind of boring to own because it's not rare or expensive, but it just does almost everything right.
