Dracula XX and Bloodlines: singe life clear (best I did was getting 2 or 3 times only in the entire games)
Shadow Warrior/Duke Nukem 3D: every single level (add ons included) fresh start on the highest difficulty with no saving. For Blood same thing but on the penultimate skill (Well Done) because the final skill is not fun and meant for coop
also did a bunch of beat em ups on a single life: Double Dragon 2 (NES), Streets of Rage 1/2
Beating Adventure Island and 1943. Yes, just beating them. With continues.
Final Fantasy VIII no lvl up run, but back in the early 00's before there existed a single guide on the subject just using my own knowledge of the game
Mega Man 9 Mr. Perfect

Probably more I can't recall right now

Beating Kid Chameleon, or maybe Gradius on NES without dying.
>>

I don't like that little covid spore looking asterisk thing. Why not just a checkmark or some shit? What is it even supposed to be? Diddy's sphincter?
>>
I once did a 3 heart run of OoT with absolutely no optional items, and I played it entirely with a keyboard.
>>
>>12124471
Damn. I never could. In related news I am trying to do that, but starting with Doom. If I die, I pistol start from that level and go again. If I really, really get stuck on a pistol start, I'll load the save file from the beginning of that level. Wish me luck!

Badass. I've played through all of Shadow Warrior and expansions on the hardest difficulty, or second highest, the one without the respawns like Nightmare on Doom, and got stuck on the pistol start of the last level. Couldn't beat the boss. I used save states as little as possible for the rest of the stages past the OG.

My hardest clear is the Kaizo Mario hack Invictus with no save states. Most of the levels took 4 to 6 hours each. There's some especially difficult ones near the end that took closer to 12. For reference, here's what the final boss looks like.

I beat Pong but nobody believes me. You believe me, don't you?

Beating my big bro in Smash, obviously.

100% completed Super Metroid in 1:05 ingame time. Not that great compared to speedrunners but still good

Ninja Gaiden damageless with one instance of damage allowed for final boss. Castlevania 1 damageless, CV1 unupgraded whip only(fuck Death). Ocarina Of Time damageless, OoT minimalist run, Majora 6 day minimalist run without song of soaring (very tight timing, nearly no fkups allowed)

I think that's it
>>
>>12124457
I 100% Rayman 1 without guides or cheats when I was like 7 or 8 years old

Probably Battle Garegga No Miss No Bomb with half of the playable ships, but Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou Black Label 2-ALL is up there too. The thing is, Garegga NMNB isn't that hard. It's just that the number of people that ever tried to do that is low. I honestly find it weird that nobody outside Japan ever did it until now, since the hardcore playerbase of this genre consider it the "Best Shmup of All Time" and No Miss/No Death run is a very common self-imposed challenge in this genre.

fucking mad man. I remember trying as a kid. All I could ever do was 69 because of that retarded carpet level which you couldnt repeat. Being the second to last level didn't help either.

Beating Hitman Codename 47. That alone is an achievement in and of itself considering how half the mechanics are broken and those that DO work that a while figuring out due to how obtuse they are.

Oh, I also beat Armored Core: Last Raven and got all the EX Arena tags.

Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius ~forever with me~ 1cc
Not that hard as far as shmups go but it took me a while, and it's kind of an endurance test since it runs to just under 50 minutes which is insanely long for a shmup.

Now trying to 1cc Battle Garegga. If I can pull this off it will be my biggest accomplishment BY FAR. I'm pretty far away from it though. I've been practicing Blackheart 2 through the ending at 40-45% rank (plausible high range of an actual clear) and I cannot fucking get through it with 3 lives. Glow Squid's first phase especially is rough, I theoretically know how to dodge its attacks but your massive fucking hitbox still makes it really hard.

I luckied out the LV4 Sword in Zelda ALTTP

I also somehow managed to enter the debug code in Final Fight 2
>>
>>12124950
Nice. Came very close to pulling it off once with a Dark Elf Wizard but died at the Mana Temple.

DKC2, getting a full 102% completion with no guide and on a two-day game rental which ran for three. I told my mom that I'd pay the late fee if she gave me just one more day.

That's very close indeed. Once you know the last few levels of the CoC well enough to get your first win, the following ones are easy. I stopped playing because if I got a character to survive the Unremarkable Dungeon meatgrinder, it was pretty much guaranteed that I could clear the game; and I didn't have the patience for the special endings.

I don't think dark elves make the best wizards, since they are still squishy, don't have as much learning as other elves, and the find weakness skill doesn't help with offensive magic. My easiest win was with a dark elf paladin (turned neutral and crowned in a UD cave with a neutral altar, got the Justifier); they are good at melee, archery and magic.

Sorry for the infodump, I actually went and dug out some winning .flg files out of nostalgia.

Beating RE3 with only the handgun many times, with only knife twice
Beating Megaman 7 when I was like 10yo (last boss is hard)

>>12129206
Nice
I almost did it without a guide, but unfortunaly I spoiled myself the "secret inside a secret" thing reading some random review online
(The review didn't mention the exact level, but when it was the only thing missing I knew what to look for)
>>
>>12129918
This reminds me, I also did RE1 knife only as well as BH3 kinfe only on easy
This is me >>12124486

also I learnt to beat Wily's Capsule in Mega Man 7 without using E-M Tanks
>>
>>12127795
That's pretty slick anon

>find weakness skill doesn't help with offensive magic
Find Weakness is the reason I take Dark Elf with a Wizard. I like to set tactics to Coward and then rely on melee for weaker enemies, only using offensive magic either for large groups of enemies or things that could one-shot you. I prefer this approach to pure caster runs since they're dead in the water if they run out of mana which happens often in the early game.
