The 360 era was legendary. Never thought we'd see the day where Halo and Gears were on a ponystation. Grim times indeed. Glad I checked out of console game back in the early 2000s so I didn't have to experience this firsthand.

One of my favorite memories w the system was 4 player tiger woods sessions in a tiny ass apartment room. Just taking turns while using the computer to chat w thots who were never going to give it up but loved teasing.Also used to run Halo 1 lan parties at a church gym which had an auditorium all carpeted. We would drag the couches from the foyer into the gym in front of the stage and pack the cooler in the massive kitchen in the back w code red and little Debbie snacks and just play from like 8pm until we trickled out at around 4-5 am eyes blood shot and then passing out for an entire day after.

The goal of Xbox has been, from its inception, to merge platforms to create an all-encompassing service by which Microsoft can have access to as many devices as possible, so they can monitor as many people as possible (because that's what Microsoft's purpose is, a government data aggregation corporation). The idea of an Xbox app or Xbox integration on every device known to man is a wet dream for them, and they'll happily fork over their IPs and hardware to achieve that goal, because it was always just a means to an end. You're seeing this all play out in real time: first it was Windows with Xbox media bar and such, then little stuff like banjo in smash, now entire once-exclusive IPs headed to competing systems. Their goal is not to defeat the competition, but to absorb the competition and use the competitor's devices as hosts for their parasitic spawn. It does not get more jewish than that. Despite being made by a soulless corporation, the original system was the only one with soul. They had something to prove, and the early days of the system had a lot of ambition to the titles released on it. Its too bad Halo overshadowed most of that.
