So the Japanese version has an easy mode option that starts you with 30 hearts, 9 lives, removes knockback, let's you keep power shot when switching sub weapons, and let's you keep shot and sub weapon upon death but what are the other changes for the game.I've read even normal mode uses different candle patterns than the US version.

It's identical to the US release save from bugfixes and the ability to save.It's only the 1993 cartridge re-release which has that, that barely sold in the low thouisands vs the million of the original version
