I disagree, it's elevated by being formerly part of the activision O2 branding, intended to be aligned with the goals of the brand and by a developer who had contributed to Tony Hawk games in their time. It clearly takes the mantle seriously and fills its niche while satisfying Tony Hawk fans.

You speak like a non-player erping as an informed one. Wakeboarding Unleashed is a solid 8.5/10 game.

I love this game. It's one of the best Tony Hawk-style games out there. The very concept of the sport of wakeboarding adds some fun new aspects to the gameplay, plus it's one of the better polished THPS-likes overall. It's a shame that it's so hard to both emulate AND run the PC version.
