It's been 20 years since I played it but I remember a combat mission what seemed to be in the messosphere. It was all in japanese so I didn't understand a damn thing but it was cool as fuck. I need to replay this someday now that there is an english patch.

A lot of the Ace Combat games are super good. Every person who owned a PS2 had at least one game in the series, surprised you don't hear about them more.

I only played Zero but>most of the time you're staring at the blue sky>enemies are too far away so you mostly see them as dots for you to lock on>so most of the game is just staring at the same blue screen until a dot appears, then you lock on and fire>if you hear beeping, do a loop, this solves most situations and if it doesn't, keep doing it until it works. I was just spinning around firing missiles at dots for every dogfight. Final boss is more like a jousting match which was different, but not enough to be fun>ground missions were ok I guessI thought it was extremely boring but still finished because my cousin insisted it was a great game
