Or, employees need to be trained to say something like "tell me when you've decided what you'd like" so customers don't feel so rushed to make a decision.

Go inside and order to go until you're familiar enough with the menu that you don't have to read the whole thing every time. The menu at the speaker box is a reminder for quick reference, not for you to read through in its entirety.
