>Released 3 years before Sega CD
>Still a much better cd add-on than Sega CD and with a much bigger library of great games
>Not full with crappy FMV games like Sega CD did
>The cutscenes at PC Engine CD games look neat while the ones at most Sega CD games look trash
>music CD quality at many games while most Sega CD games still had Mega Drive tier soundtrack
Hudson does what Segadoesnt.
>>
The CD became the PC Engine's main format, this didn't happen to the Mega Drive / Genesis. PC Engine CD's library is far superior to the Mega CD's library, but Mega Drive's cartridge library is far superior to PC Engine's HuCard library.
>>
No mention of load times? What are you hiding from us OP?
>>
Did PC engine exist outside Japan? I literally never saw this shit nor spectrum.
Just had Atari, Commodore, Apple II, and the x86 home computers. (Plus nontentdo, sega, etc.)
>>
>>12136708
Did you confused it with Neo Geo Cd, Sega fanboy?
>>
>>12136716
>Did PC engine exist outside Japan?
Yes, as TurboGrafx-16
>>
>>12136716
>Just had Atari, Commodore, Apple II, and the x86 home computers
You re European, right?
>>
>>12136708
>le loading times!
Take your fucking adderall next time and you won't care so much.

>Hudson does what Segadoesnt.
*Segain't
>>
>>12136640
It’s called the Turbografx 16.
>b-but
Nah, not putting up with bullshit tonight. “PC Engine” should be an auto-ban.
>>
>>12136951
It's called the Hudson System
>>
>>12136640
Sega should've never created the Sega CD. The Genesis was fundamentally incapable of directly operating a CD add-on in the way the PC Engine did. Hence why the Sega CD had 2/3rds of a second console contained inside.

Here we see a prime specimen of the rare zoombie who watched a different youtube than you did.
Notice how the other zoombies fear him and mock him because he got his opinion from a different youtube.
This is normal behavior for these primitive tribal creatures.
But despite their difference they all have the same density.
The tidepod waits for no they/them.

PCE-CD has more classics than Sega CD (Rondo), but Sega CD has a wider selection of good games.
>>
>>12137341
Actually now that I think about it, Sega CD probably has more classics, too. Sonic CD, Snatcher, Lunars...
>>
>>12136640
All this and it still had worse versions of Popful Mail and Shin Megami Tensei
>>
>>12137359
Is the Popful Mail version genuinely worse? I thought it was considered better, just was never translated
>>
>All the best games are untranslated
>>
>>12137418
That alone makes it one of the best systems ever. Imagine being able to talk about great games without having to deal with hot takes from EOP weebs.
>>
>>12136936
Go to bed, Johnny
>>
>>12137408
The Sega CD version is different and better.

PCE-CD games, even if mediocre to bad (very few actually bad), generally had the most amazing soundtracks. I still have my original Ys Books I&I and Turbo-Duo multidisc just to listen to music from Ys and Gates of Thunder

Also Bonk's Revenge was better than Sonic CD, Snatcher is good sure, and never heard of Lunars.

>>12136951
PC Engine sounds 1000x cooler than Turbografx... You're probably a Sonicfag that loves blast-processing.
>>
Playing the Sega CD Popful Mail first is kind of like having your first Ys 1&2 be the Nintendo DS version
The combat is different and it may make all other versions feel weird to you afterwards

>Bonk's Revenge was better than Sonic CD,
By most accounts, the CD version of Bonk's Revenge is worse than the HuCard version
>>
>>12137776
That's the SNES version of PM actually
>>
>>12136640
Are the PC-Engine and CoreGrafx the same if I just want to use real hardware with the turbo everdrive?
>>
>>12138405
Yeah. The CoreGrafx I has a slightly different audio chip, and the PCE and CoreGrafx II are the same.
>>
>>12137220
Meds now, schizo
