I've never played an MD game in my life, but Wonder Boy in Monster World is probably my favorite video game title of all time. I really like the Japanese box art, too :)

Gotta be honest man, 2d platformers aren't fun. They only started getting good with Mario 64 and Bubba the Cat.

I'm not big on platformers, but I will say that the Treasure games on Genesis like Dynamite Headdy and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure are at least a hundred times better than sonic. Even the Alex Kidd games on Master System mog Sonic the Hedgehog
