How do these best-selling PC games from 1983 hold up today?
Infocom literally killing it, text adventures will never age.
Wizardry is the only good game there.
>>12137528Hitchhiker’s guide is a funny romp, but you’re gonna need a guide unless you’re very patient, creative, and know a lot about the franchise.Lode Runner is also a classic available on many platforms.
>>12137528Lode Runner is the only game there that is still fun to play in 2025.
>>12137528loderunner and wizardry are both fun
>>12137528Only Lode Runner is still fun.
>>12137528Deliciously.
>>12137718Douglas Adams deliberately made it absurdly, unfairly hard, because that's the way he liked his adventure games. I can respect that.
>>12137528All great games. Flight Simulator 1 and 2 are a bit redundant, and while good in their own right, are superseded by later entries. Sargon 3 is a chess machine, and is largely also irrelevant today. The rest all stand on their own though. Trivia Fever is slop.

>>12138282What the fuck are you trying to suggest, retard?
>>12138665You're the fucking retard, how can a game be slop if it's in the top 10 best sellers a whole year before you were even able to purchase the game? That just shows how beloved and popular the game was. Super Mario World is a game people praise yet I fail to see any 1989 best sellers lists with it on them.
