It was one of the top 3 FPS games of 2004, the others being HL2 and Doom 3.It has a ton of soul to me for that reason as well as the graphics with the trophical islands and water animation.Some parts were amazing, like the early parts before the arrival of the mutant enemies. It felt more like Doom/Quake after that. I played on the highest difficulty and it was insanely hard too, the AI is just poorly-optimized.I would have liked if this game was more of a open-world island FPS, like Crysis. Where you have to island-hop with boats and vehicles, enjoying the tropic scenery and fighting against mercenaries.
