What were the retro games you were most excited to play back in the day?I remember being incredibly hyped when Dragonball Budokai was announced, cause I loved watching it on Toonami. I saw ads for it in gaming magazines as early as 2001, a whole year before it came out. As a very little kid at the time (I think I was seven or eight) it was really hard having to wait that long to play the game.

>>12146347Pretty much any Mario game. I remember being 6 years old and sprinting out of the car to run to the video store to pick up my (rental) copy of SMB 3. Left the door open and almost got hit by a car in the parking lot.Getting my SNES and Super Mario World for Christmas in 1992 might have been the most excited I've ever been...for almost anything. If you could bottle the anticipation and joy I felt that day you would no longer have depression or war.DKC also got me pretty hyped. Nintendo's marketing worked it's magic on me for that one (also a Christmas gift). There's others but those are the big ones. Oh and TMNT 2 The Arcade Game
Why are you a pedophile, OP?
>>12146347Toy Story (SNES)I had an old sketchbook my parents had given me and I vividly remember drawing scenes from the game as I imagined them from the screenshots of the game with crayons and pencils. I was so hyped for that game that I drew pictures of how I imagined it would be like.I remember drawing the Rex chase scene, with the army men on the left.Unfortunately that book has been lost to time.
>>12146391Why do you want everyone to be a pedo?
>>12147196Get off your ass and find the book!
After playing FF7, I was hyped for FF8, FF9 and FF10. FF10 came with Kingdom Hearts non-playable demo that showed the opening and snippets of the game. Seeing Cloud and Squall in it made me hyped for Kingdom Hearts
>>12146347Urban Chaos for me. I've replayed the demo multiple times as I was in love with the vibe, smack talks and interactivity of the world. And the full version I bought many years later delivered exactly what I wanted despite its bugs.
>>12147932I was also impressed with the demo
I was probably most excited about Operation Flashpoint and certainly wasn't disappointed.
>>12147948Damn right. The combat system had surprisingly large moveset for a free roam game, and climbing the buildings felt cool.I was stumped that GTA 3 was much simpler in those aspects (apart from better driving).
>>12146347Pokémon Sun and Moon, i remember as a kid i followed any kind of info i could find on the internet
>>12148070>sun and moon>as a kid
>>12148092Someone who was 9 years old in 2016 is now 18
>>12146391Why, he didn't post any JCM2 cunnyslop for the OP for you to ask about this without looking like a normie-adjacent schizoid…
>>12148070Same but I was 15 and that isn't retro, try againLiterally anything Sonic I could get my hands on after playing Mega Collection and discovering emulators
>>12146347TTYD. I was thinking about Paper Mario 64 one day, which I had only beaten as a rental. I wanted to look it up on the family PC, I guess, and saw on the Nintendo website advertising an upcoming sequel. I vividly remember one of the screenshots was Mario standing outside of the Great Boggly Tree.I became excited for it to release, that day. Dunno if I had a GameCube or not yet.Wasn't disappointed when I finally got to play it, either. Good times.
>>12148092>>12148096oof, right in the [me realizing i'm 20 years older than I should rightfully be]
>>12146347Zelda Twilight Princess. A new OoT style Zelda on the new Wii with new motion controls. So fucking hype. The best christmas I had as a kid lol
>>12148528>not Skyward Swordngmi
>>12148528This, but on the GameCube, like the hype surrounding the game, the wait for it while reading any tiny bit of info and then when it came out it fucking delivered like holy shit.Last time I was this hyped for a game and the wait was worth was with DQXI, but TP was something else, everyone was talking about it.
Sonic Heroes, but that ended badly>>12148294Every gamer that grew up in the nineties had a Sonic phase. Did you want to fuck Rouge's fat bat tats as a kid?
>>12148514How much of a big old bastard are you?
>>12148059III is the best GTAVice City is a better III
>>12146347Pedophile cartoon.
>>12150328about to hit 38
>>12151094That's fucking old af. Can you still hold in your pee or do you have to go right away now?
>>12146347you didn't like budokai? like it's a bit clunky to go back to, but it's not a bad game by any means.
>>12146391Anglo post.
>>12151501>you didn't like budokai? Why do you think that?
>>12151067No, it's just a cartoon about a 50 year old man living with a 13 year old girl.
>>12151067So, what's your favourite episode?
>>12151579because you said you "were" excited for it.
>>12151985Budokai lived up to the hype for me. I played the shit out of it for years. I actually never even got around to playing any of the sequels or the other Dragonball fighters that came after it, except I played a little bit of DB Fighterz at a friend's house back when that came out.
>>12146347the shit i was most excited for never panned out. i was looking forward to project hammer and some cel shaded racing game for the wii
>>12146347I guess Earthbound. I still have some old gaming magazines with ads for it in them, but it never came out in Europe. I also bought a gaming magazine just to get a cover mount demo CD with the first world of Quake on it because the internet wasn't really a thing yet. The full game came out like a month later. I'm still playing Quake.>>12146362I traded my NES with about ten games for an SNES with SMW in probably Christmas 1993. I was more excited for the console than the game itself though.
>>12146391>>12151067Lobby had her bat mitzvah so by Jewish law she is a woman. And she's already having periods
