Are the outbreak games even worth playing?
>>
No not really
>>
If you can play it with at least a friend absolutely. They are great games. Don't play on Very Hard if you are only 2 though.
>>
They're certainly fun and unique experiences, but only play it if you can do co-op with multiple people since that's the entire point. Thankfully it's easy to set that up for online play.
>>
>>12147568
they're the best RE games unironically. they also filter low iq people.
>>
If I had to guess, they're only worth playing online. I don't know how alive the community is though. I know they managed to resurrect the server functionality, so there's a possibility.

>play it with a friend
And how the fuck is he going to do that exactly? The only way to play coop is to play online, and the hoops you're going to have to jump through to get this shit working in 2025, only one autist is going to actually go through with and execute.
>>
>>12148852
My friends wont play them
>>
The true RE4
>>
>>12147568
I tried to play them, but didn't care for how I could never take a moment to stop and take the games in, constantly being on a timer and never being able to stop for a moment kills the mood.

Maybe it's better playing with friends, never did that since I only tried playing them after the PS2 was long dead.
>>
>>12148945
it's not hard to get it setup, but I guess it's hard enough to weed out idiots like you from doing so, which is a good thing.
>>
>>12147568
They're the best classic resi games but they're actually hard, so a lot of resi fans don't really like them.
>>
>>12148945
Bro it's 5 minutes, there's a fucking youtube tutorial.
>>

>and the hoops you're going to have to jump through to get this shit working in 2025
>You mean I have to do things in order to experience something unique??!!
Fuck off and keep being a bitter loser.

low key? one of my resentments of 4 is the fact its a major reason we never got the complete outbreak experience. 23 scenarios and we only got 10 right?
>>
>>12153260
Actually it was around 30. Alyson Court herself mentioned at some point seeing all the sketches for all the scenarios when she was at Capcom. It's very depressing.
>>
>>12153267
wouldnt be surprised its less. i did a few comparisons of proto images and the final game and have reason to believe the rainy a day in raccoon hotel was turned into the apple inn hellfire
>>
>>12153761
Nope. Hellfire was gonna be part of the first scenario, Outbreak. The little chain garage you walk by before talking to the cop to get into the van was gonna be the place you entered the apple inn through. The project was massive and kept being shrunken down.
>>
>>12154267
at first i thought that they were different levels but going through the old images i noticed they were TOO similar.
i could go lvl 10 nerd and autism all over this thread about it
>>
>>12153260
Probably had more to do with File 2 selling like absolute shit.
>>
>>12147568
I enjoyed the single player.
Particularly file 2 but anything above hard is annoying.
You should play it first before diving online.
Online is shock full of retards who speed run the scenarios so its important to know the basic layout of the scenario unless you set up sessions with friends.
>>
Not by yourself, no.
>>
>>12147568
>Are the outbreak games even worth playing?
By yourself? Fuck no, these games weren't designed for solo play. The AI bots you're given are barely functional and you'll be in for a world of pain.
In a multiplayer session with three other people that know what the fuck they're doing and can coordinate together and are not retards like >>12154571? Absolutely. It can be a fun experience.
>>
>>12155727
Once you get good enough, solo is absolutely super fun and a nice challenge. I've beaten both games solo on Very Hard with a knife only, especially Desperate Times which required a good deal of planning. The Outbreak games have endless replayability.
