Blatent Diddy Kong Racing rip-off. They started by literally recreating DKR levels and having Crash race around them. Not as good and two years late. Best kart racer on the PS though. I’d say the best Naughty Dog PS game is just Crash 1.

The music, the combat, the precise turning, the course editor, it’s all great. Strategizing who you need to crash throughout a grand prix is so fun and rewarding when you actually do it. The unlockable courses and characters add some depth, you can customize you vehicle and make custom courses that have almost every tool available that the devs has. I think it’s 30 racers at once. What’s not to like? Don’t tell me it’s too easy. I mean the game has a pretty high skill ceiling and nuance. Why don’t you like it? Or is this just some “WipeOut’s better” nonsense? Wipeout’s great but they’re different enough it’s apples to oranges imo.
Those arena courses in the story mode were s pain in the ass.

CTR and it's remake are genuinely great. I only found the game to get boring when try to push the developer ghosts.

OP hereI really love Diddy Kong racing,the adventure mode is great and there is the Rareware charmProbably my second favorite kart racer but Crash team racing is on another level ,the gameplay is perfect you can be much more creative with the way you handle the tracks thanks to the hoping mechanic it's almost a platforme/racing gameThe turbo mechanic is amazing too,it's a much more interactive and skillfull game than it's competitors Oh and Crash team racing has a much better framerate than Diddy Kong racing
