I've done every ending with every character of Hard Corps 1CC; but in comparison 3 is such a chore to play I always have to force myself to keep going.

Mode 7 stages on the other hand bring an unique control and perspective scheme to the table (though not as unique as the game they were referencing with this).

The cyclop shit alone feels like a one minute cutscene, which really hurts a game like Contra. Bosses in HC love to move their arms like retards and flail around before doing something, not to mention stupid shit like the human pyramid, who's just there as yet another multisprite gimmick.

HC isn't easy but it is easier than III when you learn it. III still requires a higher level of execution overall so even when you have both games memorized, III will be more of a challenge while HC becomes considerably easier when you know what to do.
If you want to console war and say III bad because overhead stages or HC bad because gimmicky bosses (both things I don't mind personally), go ahead, but by saying HC is harder and acting like a console warrior you seem to be falseflagging to make sega fans look retarded. You clearly haven't played both games.

I've beat the game on all endings. Even though I used the jap version to learn the routes before switching to US to execute them, I still rolled my eyes at banal unskippable shit that just wastes your time after the first couple times you see it. All the stupid text, the banal set pieces that boil down to jumping and shooting a few times (level 2 is full of this shit no matter which path you take), the autoscroller boss battle in the jungle that tests your ability to stay awake more than anything else. It's a good game, but not a great one by any means.
