SiN has no idea what it wants to be.
>SiN sequel
>supposed to be episodic but the one sequel was the last game
>they make the protagonist mute
>they give you a cute sidekick out of nowhere who does all the talking
>they made the villain even hotter

i liked the punching in the first game though

This series had some shit luck and bad management
>Sin releases in a terrible state. Low performance even on high-end systems and loading times somehow measured in minutes. And only a few weeks before Half-Life.
>Patches are quickly made available, but the file sizes are massive for the time
>Expansion pack releases only a few months later, and absolutely no one cares about the franchise at this point
>A few years later gets a direct-to-video anime film that's completely non-canon, mostly remembered for being bad even by the standards of early 2000's direct-to-DVD anime
>finally gets a proper sequel in 2006 as an episodic game released exclusively on Steam
>but it's 2006 so nobody likes digital distribution, episodic gaming or Steam
The best part about the entire series is the softcore porn shoot they made as a promo for Sin Episodes

The multiplayer was absolutely amazing. I had tons of fun at my local LAN gaming center, back then.
Pre-ordered the game so I had this huge poster. Probably explains why bimbos get me diamond.

Shit should've been basically the next evolutionary step of the Douk 3D type of games but the pressure of pushing the game out before HL1 fucked it all up.

SiN was always chasing trends: let's make a game with a Duke Nukem like protag, that's what's hip now. Oh shit, this new Akira movie kicks ass, let's make a cartoon like those chinese men did. Huh? Now silent protags are in now? Let's make a sequel where our quippy protag doesn't talk anymore.

The main guy has a cameo in Phantom Fury, so I guess you can call that an unofficial sequel.

The tutorial level is suprisingly well-done. Perhaps the best I've ever seen; you can wander in the HardCorps HQ (or whatever it's called), get lost, take the lift, go to the weapon range, etc. Really fucking well done.
Cool logo, too.

okay but just for a bit
