one time i was at an arcade bar with some furries and a furry got Battletoads to softlock so the amphibians were stuck on a single screen. It was a snowy stage.

if they just made it normal hard instead of ball busting for sickos only hard people would view it as one of the best and most inventive NES games. its a technical and creative marvel. but I guess RARE just really wanted to make a big fuck you to kids worldwide at the time. for me the farthest I ever got was the big moving snake stage, and that was maybe 2 or 3 runs out of many. usually it died in turbo tunnel or the ice stage.

>>12214042There are a bunch of warps in the game so you can try lots of pieces of it without being an expert at it or spending a lot of time in a single run. It's not so hard that you can't explore a lot of it pretty easily, if you're decent at games. (If you're really bad at games, then yeah you're doomed in this one, warps or no warps.) I think they did okay. Would like Volkmire's Inferno to be less lame; otherwise I like all the stages I have played. (I have never gotten to the Clinger Winger part though.)
