Castlevania is one of the games/sagas I had pending to get into. any guides to play them?I read there are dozen of games, all with sifferent titles and platfforms (some of them are weird ass consoles). very confusing. I have no idea which ones are mainline and which are spin-offs
The console games NES-ps1 are "mainline" then the GBA and NOT RETRO DS games. Arcade/computer/handheld games until gba are spin offs, cobsole games on ps2 and beyond are spin offs.

Don't skip Simon's Quest or the N64 games.Symphony of the Night plays completely differently from any of the games prior to it. If you want to get into the whole series, you can't just start with Symphony.
