The gunplay is a downgrade from previous titles in the series. Fans defend this by saying, "It's because the lightsaber combat is the main focus." But the lightsaber combat is jank and the encounters tend to be inimical to it. You're not going to take out those snipers in Nar Shadaa with your lightsaber.Later, you get to fight saber-to-saber against Sith combatants, but this only reveals the shallow limitations of saber combat. It always disappoints, it never works out the way you want. You can't recreate Luke's duel with Vader, because you're stuck with stiff animations and basic one-hit moves. There are no combos. You can't do anything cool.Fags like to complain about the power fantasy of The Force Unleashed, but at least that game was trying to deliver what players wanted. Jedi Outcast is a game that seems to hate itself and its players. It doesn't want you to have fun with your lightsaber. It wants to you to dwell in boring puzzle rooms for hours.

On Hard enemies were given a huge buff in HP, which coupled with the lack of hitstun, makes gun fights feel extra shitty.
