So I wanted a PSP and ordered it on eBay. The one that was the best price was pink, but I figured who cares, I can paint over it someday. It said it comes with 3 random games.
I get the thing and there are no games. I go to ebay to complain but I paid as guest. I get a fucking ebay account, I have to wait 5 days to complain about this. I finally get through to the seller, says he needs to check my order number. Gets back to me, tells me 'Thank you for your inquiry. When I confirmed your order, I saw that you chose not to include the 3 games.'
What the actual FUCK, dude? The only reason I bought from him and got a PINK psp was because it would come with games. There was no way to "opt out" of getting the games. There was no "check here if you want those games". I didn't add a special request to NOT get games.
So I'm new to this kind of wheeling and dealing. Is this common? Is he going to make this right or what? Will ebay fix it? Can I threaten to tank his ratings? Isn't that a thing? They don't want bad reviews? Maybe some dude selling hundreds of pink PSPs isn't so worried about his rep though.
What would you do about this? The main thing is I can load the fucker up with emulator games and play GBA and SNES and anything else I guess. But I really wanted to try an actual PSP disk.

What do I do here? I'm going to order more games I guess, I have no idea even how much they cost. I just don't know if seller dude is obligated to make good on this bullshit.

Also, I remember the PSP being quite heavy and substantial. While this pink piece of shit weighs almost nothing.
>>
I hope I didn't get screwed out of like $60 worth of games. Even if they suck, they're something.

They made different models. Early psp was metal.

Sounds like your mistake and you are trying to scam the guy out of games due to your own misunderstanding. Weird you would need to make a new ebay account. It makes you look like the scammer even if he is.

Technically not /vr/
Have you never used ebay before? You sound underage.
I would message the seller that there wasn’t an option to opt-out from including the three games, and ask if he could still send them. If not, say you want a refund open a claim on ebay to return it and get a refund.

It's not a 'new' eBay account, it's my first one. I didn't think I needed one because I've never had an issue.
>>
>>12217367
Thanks, I did exactly that. I didn't know I could open a claim though if he fucks me over. Thank you.
>>
>>12217367
>say you want a refund open a claim
*or open a claim

Sorry, which board is this for? Mobile games specifically says this is a console, and it's 20 years old and mostly for retro gaming I thought.

I'm going to load my roms to play old handhelds on it. That's way more my reason to buy it than for the cartridge disks.

OP is retarded btw. I just found this listing and when you bought it you had to select whether you wanted 3 games or not. Written in spic script the description says something like "Please select whether you want 3 games or not"

ebay(nigger)com/itm/406204700987?_skw=psp+with+games
>>
>>12217378
WHAT THE FUCK?? Well, I wanted them. I'll tell the guy I'll pay the shipping.
>>
>>12217376
This board goes up to 6th gen i.e PS2, Xbox, GBA, etc. PSP is technically 7th gen

Just download ARK-4, find some ISOs, maybe get a big Micro SD card and adapter
>>
>>12217383
I have to completely retrofit the thing to handle old games too? I thought I could just plug in and drop in files. I may be in over my head here. Next I'm going to have to get a tiny screwdriver and order new parts and solder stuff.
>>
The listing on Ebay now just says it's out of stock. The guy's all done selling this deal. FUCK
>>
>>12217387
You don't need to solder anything to pirate games on a PSP lol
>>
>>12217380
It's probably some garbage shovelware games so I can see why he made it optional with it being random crap. UMDs are pretty cool though like a hybrid between encased floppy disks and optical discs.
>>
Amazon's PSP games are like $12 to $50 each. FUCK this. "retro" gaming is such a fucking industry now you can't just get into it.
I also bought a Game Cube for like $130 with no games. I can't wait to look up what those cost. Probably anything good is $90 and only sucky games are affordable. What was I thinking?
>>
>>12217394
You should have got a backwards compatible Wii instead, they're much easier to hack with cheaper accessories like component cables. You can get a Flippydrive for the gamecube for around 70 bucks and run games like that
>>
>>12217390
There's not really a good way to resolve what you want within the system either. He'd need to refund you and get you to ship back the PSP or he risks getting return scammed for the entire deal once a "item not as described" case is open. Trying to get 3 random PSP games that are likely garbage doesn't seem worth the hassle just pay attention to the item descriptions and options next time.

I'm better off just sticking with emulator roms. I just wish there was that perfect way to play them on my CRT. I used to have a Dreamcast with a disk of NES games, and that was as close as I think I will come to that without actually owning an NES. I can't even remember where that went. When SNES came out I thought I'd never pick it up again.
