Emulator is basically a program that runs a fake console as accurately as it can, so of course there will be loading screens, shitty resolution, slowdowns etc.
If you don't want faithful experience there are emulator settings like fast loading,resolution upscaling, pgxp, cpu overclock (emulated cpu, emulator won't be overclocking your actual hardware as retards tend to think).

In an emulator, the game thinks it's being played on original hardware. Because of this, it still abides by the limitations of the original hardware (including slow disc drive speeds). Some emulators allow the game to bypass these limitations somewhat, but results may vary.
