You have 5 billion dollars. You decide to buy out the company in its entirety, all their IPs and everything else. You still have a few billion leftover, to make any games you could ever possibly want with neither money nor corporate overlords holding you back.

What are the first 1-5 games you'd be making? What changes do you make? What are your grand plans?

Buy Treasure and start off with making a sequal to Ikaraga on Dreamcast using real GD roms filled up to the max 1 gb.
Make Genesis games but enhance them with 32x support, some editions of the games will include a clone of the 32x.
After this make Snes games too.

At what time frame would this happen? If it's in the 00s, I'd liquidate their assets and invest all of it in Apple stocks (early 00s), then crypto (2010 onwards), then AMD stocks (circa 2014). Then go live in Madeira (island climate would help with my allergies, and there's an internet backbone line passing through the island so I'd have 10 gbit internet as early as the 2010s) and and live off of the dividends for the rest of my life. Maybe invest in the places I live at for a little bit, just so I can convince the cops to ignore that I pirate shit from the internet, dunno how lenient they are about that in the area.

Build a new Rareware game engine. Build Next Gen games of Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, and Star Fox. Several other remastered and updated classics. Keep prices relatively low and sell with nostalgia with volume margins. Rapid release cycle releases. Every IP gets their own team. Start churning out a few games per year. One title per IP every 2 to 3 years on a rolling cycle so people don't get tired of it. Revive the business in a country that allows this without laws about diversity. Hire all the devs remotely from the US. Start developing new IPs using similar vibes to the old games without allowing anyone that's not white, over 30, and male anywhere near any of the projects.

Videogame developers are only as good as the people working there. It's pointless to buy a company for its "IP"... that's just marketing.

But, let's pretend that buying a company's IP properties meant you magically obtained the developers who created those IPs, not only that, but those developers are magically age regressed back into their primes. I would get them to create an updated and expanded version of Cobra Triangle.
