I am tired of people acting like this piece of shit is worth playing. Maybe if you speak Japanese you can find something worth it.

>but the controllers good!
Conjoined Dpads are shit and only sony understands that.

>Maybe if you speak Japanese you can find something worth it.
Nah it's mostly just a lot of porno visual novel games either ported from the pc engine or ripping off pc engine games. That and some princess maker clones.
>>
>>12234442
Then it just sucks
>>
The Saturn falls squarely within the Holy Quaternity of Good Consoles, alongside the Famicom, the PC Engine, and the PlayStation. You have very poor, Anglocentric tastes, and you do not, nor will you ever understand this medium.
>>
>>12234449
>famislop
Lol the playstation and pcengine at least have games worth playing
>>
>>12234442
princess maker is a masterpiece althoughbeit
>>
I would never make a case for a console being good just because of a single good game, but if I were ever to make that case, Dragonforce would be the game I make it for.
>>
>>12234812
for pedos maybe

https://consolemods.org/wiki/Saturn:Saturn_Japan_Exclusive_Games_List

The Japanese Saturn had way way more games. A lot of the really good stuff like Dead or Alive,Sakura Wars 1 and 2 and Elevator Action Returns are Japanese only.

It's a system you really gotta import games to get the full experience.

throw 360 in there. their jap library is goated

That's how I feel about n64

Sorry you missed out on the GOAT.
>>
>>12234439
Valid criticism really because the Japanese library is amazing but the US one is a bit lacking.
>>
There's over 50 translated games for this thing already. That's basically more games than the n64 even has. I mean seriously just think about that. Obviously the n64 has lots of meaty games that make it better than the saturn, but at some point, the saturn starts to hold its own respectably through the sheer size of its library.

Jesus fucking Christ how many threads are you going to make about console war shit go the FUCK back to /v/ kike

>Conjoined Dpads are shit and only sony understands that.
I agree that Conjoined Dpads are bad but if you ever opened up any Playstation controller you would understand that almost every controller's Dpad in existence is conjoined, including PS controllers. The base is simply not visible as it's inside the controller. If you press up on the left input hard enough you can also activate the up input.

It's still better than most if not all Dpads for sure but the directions aren't truly separate, unfortunately. It could be that it was cheaper to just manufacture/assemble one large piece of plastic as opposed to four small ones, but that's just me speculating. If that is the case then Sony must have deemed the cost worth it for the face buttons though as though are separate, again, as with pretty much all other controllers.
>>
I wanted one so bad in '97 to go along with my N64 but my parents got me a PS1 instead for christmas because they remembered how much I hated Sonic 3D Blast in the previous year. They really saved my ass, I can't imagine living in the late '90s without a PS1.
>>
>>12234907
have you played more than 10 video games in your entire life?
>>
>>12234449
have your cheap (You) for this shitty ass sigga saturd thread
>>
The main objective benefit of a connected dpad is you can more quickly reverse your direction.
Imagine you're depressing dpad right, and you want to press left...well the left side of the dpad is raised, and your thumb can exert a force on it with less movement.
Going from 3 o'clock to 10 o'clock is shorter than 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock. Not a perfect analogy, but should get the idea across.
>>
>>12234439
Nigger, the Sega D-pad is the GOAT.
>>
>>12239005
The distance from depressed right to depressed left is the same regardless of if the Dpad is conjoined or not, though. I do think if you need to frequently switch directions, though, conjoined Dpads are much more comfortable, especially the very overtly conjoined ones like the Genesis.

>>12234453
>pcengine good, Famicom bad
long-winded way of admitting you only play shmups
>>
>>12234814
DragonForce is decent except that any creative teams you create are rendered completely moot by the need to use all heroes, max level, to finish final battle gauntlet of the game... And how enemies can just perpetually run from battle when they're about to die
>You can just...
I don't care, it's still a dumb mechanic.

There are better games IMO. Taromaru, for one. MKR for another.
>>
>>12234983
how do you get health pick-up bro
>>
anyone want to list their must-plays? As of now I've got baroque, bulk slash, burning rangers, dragon force, dragoon saga elevator action, guardian heroes, magic knight rayearth, princess crown, radiant silvergun, saturn bomberman, and super tempo

>all heroes, max level,
I'm not sure the kings' levels actually matter at the end
I once tried beating the game by just assembling the kings and then going straight to the last boss and completely ignoring the rest of the map, so I had relatively low levels on the kings, and the final battle didn't feel any different from the first time I beat the game
>>
Déjà vu, I have been in this thread before

How can anyone enjoy the standard dualshock d-pad? It feels like ass to use for anything more than a few minutes and requires fast inputs.
>>

Who wants to tell him?

>You're admitting to having friends
Look at yourself
>>
>>12241417
That's just about the most retarded non sequitur I've ever seen. You're trying to claim you "had friends" because you "played pcengine, not famicom"? Making that statement alone makes the OPPOSITE sound far more likely.
>>
Does the Saturn's status as the underdog really peeve Sonyfags that bad? People who like the Saturn like it for their own reasons. They don't even think about you. Console war shit is for autists
>>
Home port of one of the best pub cabinets ever. I like it a bit less than Tant-R and Ichidant-R, though.

Uhh you mean the SUPER famicom?
>>
>>12242175
Oh look. It's that kid who just heard/saw a "new" phrase "non sequitur" and is using it to cope in every thread.
>>
>>12242836
No. I meant the Famicom.
